Whether it is our books or hands-on training, we make sure each student gets personal attention to cope up and flourish in every subject for better scores and a brighter future.
Class Room
Each classroom houses a large area and is designed such that every student gets the teacher’s maximum individual attention. There are 50 classrooms for regular teaching and a number of other rooms like the Interactive board room and Resource room to make learning interesting and fascinating. Grades I-V are digital classrooms equipped with Smart Boards.
Activity Room for Montessori and Kindergarten
Students are brought in small numbers and are involved in various hands-on activities.The activities include students in small and large groups. Group activity ensures interaction among students to develop socialization, familiarize themselves, embellish interpersonal skills.
The Computer Lab
Computer education is an integral part of the curriculum at NPS North West. The computer laboratory has over a 100 computers with a dedicated broadband Internet connection for students. Student usage of media and technology are monitored and supervised by teachers.
Computer Science prescribed by the CBSE is offered as an optional subject to students at the Senior Secondary level.
The Science Laboratory
The science laboratory provides a space for experiential and hands on learning for students. Under the professional guidance and assistance given by the science teachers, students are also encouraged to exhibit their innovative abilities by developing samples and models.
There are separate workstations for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. State of the art equipment for Physics facilitates students to perform experiments and study various principles and laws. The wide range of chemicals and apparatus allows the students a hands-on experience in learning Chemistry. The Biology labs are equipped with endemic plant specimens, models, microscopes and slides for students to observe and study, widening their exposure to the subject.
There is also a designated ‘Junior Laboratory’ for middle school students.
Physics Laboratory
The lab is equipped with instruments that allow structural experimentation by students. It allows gaining hands on experience with instruments and apparatus that affords them unfettered opportunity to experiment. Physics Laboratory at NPS- North West is well-organized, and a valuable resource unit of the school.
Chemistry Laboratory
The laboratory is well equipped with a wide range of chemicals and apparatus that provides a dynamic, safe learning environment where students get hands-on experience while performing experiments. Under the guidance of teachers, students not only learn concepts related to the subject but they also develop observation, analytical and logical skills.
Biology Laboratory
The Biology Laboratory is the place where the students engage in scientific enquiry to investigate natural phenomena. At NPS North West, the Biology laboratory with its wide range of equipment, specimens and models serves as an excellent platform for learning and experimentation in a clean, hygienic environment.
Social Science Lab
The Social science lab provides a quick and functional environment to enable theoretical and practical knowledge. It is equipped with numerous wall maps, models, charts and other teaching aids to enhance the learning process. The room also has audio-visual facility which makes learning of Social Science in school a truly interesting, lively and fun experience.
Library / Digital Resource Center
The library is the main resource center for the students and faculty of the school. It houses a vast collection of over 30,000 textbooks, reference books, fictional and non-fictional books, periodicals, text books and audio-visual material.
The library also subscribes to over 30 periodicals inclusive of 3 national daily newspapers, children’s magazines and academic journals.
Auditorium
A fully equipped auditorium allows students to produce plays and performances with the best acoustics and light system. It has a seating capacity of 1000.
Math Lab
The Math Lab provides students the opportunity to see theories come alive and have fun with numbers. It creates a challenging atmosphere for students to put their mathematical abilities to test and improve their analytical reasoning and lateral thinking through various games and activities. Syllabus based activities are conducted for Grades I to X to enhance their learning experience.
Art Room
The spacious art room creates a soothing and informal ambience to help students unleash their creative streak. The Art room becomes a hub of innovative activity as students sketch, paint for competitions as well as make props and posters for events and fests.
Art & Craft Room
The art teacher guides them through a multitude of techniques, while exposing them to various styles of art ranging from modern art, folk art, object study, landscaping and decorative styles. Children are encouraged to express themselves, using different mediums like oil pastels, water colours, pencil shading, etching and many more. Charts and art sheets, which decorate the walls, are a testimony of the intense and enjoyable learning that takes place within the art room.Students are introduced to different forms of art by accomplished Art teachers. Students are also encouraged to create thematic art based on important occasions/events, which are later displayed on the school bulletin board.
Music Room
A space for students to practice their musical instruments in a serene atmosphere with informal seating.
Dance Room
Dance brings about a healthy psychological well-being in students, improving their agility, flexibility, grace and confidence. Dance teachers help students find a song in their heart, the beat in their feet and a passion for life. Dance is a much-loved activity at NPS North West and an excellent stress buster for the students. The dance room is the wellspring from where talents begin to bloom. Through dance students learn team work, focus and improvisation. They learn various forms of dance like the Free style, Western and Classical.
Play Area
A play area helps students to rejuvenate and intermingle. The Jungle Gym at NPS North West is a play structure for students in the Primary Grades. It is an outdoor recreational equipment that includes swing sets and slides. The area helps children to develop physical coordination, strength and flexibility. The gym provides recreation and enjoyment.
Sports and Games
Sports facilities at NPS North West include throwball, basketball, volleyball, football, table-tennis, carrom, chess, karate, cricket, badminton and yoga. Yoga helps students improve concentration, increase immunity and overall wellbeing. A qualified yoga instructor teaches students of Grades I – XII the nuances of deep breathing, meditation and relevant asanas.
Health Care Room
The Health Care Room is equipped with basic medical equipment and medicines. Immediate attention is provided by a qualified nurse in case of minor ailments or injuries. Parents are immediately informed if the student is in need of medical care by a doctor.
Safety Measures
Children are under strict supervision all the time. Only authorized personnel are allowed entry into the school premises. CCTV cameras keep important areas under constant surveillance. The school is equipped with fire extinguishers in case of unforeseen exigencies. The school management and administration is committed to ensuring the safety of the students as top priority.
Interactive Panel and Audio Visual Facilities
The interactive panel makes the classes visually stimulating and collaborative. It allows the integration of media content into the lecture. The audio visual facilities are used by the faculty and the students to make presentations. They ensure long-term retention of what is taught and encourage a research-oriented approach.
